Two more parks

Before i talk about the parks i wanted to share a few other things.
This was from one of our morning walks, its a place that is getting worked on. Over here they cover up everything with plywood or a cover. Some what for safety and also for looks. Some add excitement to the covering as this one did.

After the walk this is what Coach does.

And 25 does it even more. I think the sun was in here eyes as she tried to sleep.

Thursday is now the days that i meet with the other expat guys for lunch and a pint. They must have heard we were stopping by. This place was called "The Crate"

There were four of us and we ended up doing a pub crawl to three places.
This was our second stop. As you can see there is plenty of beer at this place.
This place was called "Howling Hops"

This last place is very well known, "The Cock Tavern"

It was a slow day.

Friday night Leanne took this picture on here way home from work.
A great picture of the moon next to the Shard

Saturday we went to two more parks in London. The first was Putney Heath, which we just walk thru the center. On the way we passed the Green Man pub
http://www.youngs.co.uk/pubs/green-man
It stands on an old dueling spot.

There was a gated area and they really wanted to make sure know one went in

As you can see.

This was a nice county pub in London. We stopped here for lunch after our walk.

This was the second park, its called Wimbeldon Commons, they total 1,140 acres.

The Common is one setting of H. G. WellsThe War of the Worlds.

This has to be our favorite place to walk. We had this view for a couple of miles

There was a few openings but for the most part we were always in the woods.

Another beautiful stretch. There were sections with a lot of ferns, it reminded me of northern Michigan.

Another war memorial for the great war (WWI)

Another odd thing about England is that you can walk on the public golf courses

you just have to watch out for golf balls.

It made for a great day of waking. I know we will be back for longer walks.

Sunday was a slow day for us, we finally got motivated to go for a walk in Kensington and Hyde park. We noticed there was an event going on so we walked over to see what it was. There was a half marathon that started and finished in Hyde park.

Music, food and a lot of things for Coach to smell,

and smell. He was in dog heaven.

I had to grab him to take a break. We listen to a singer and he chilled---well tried to chill.

A great week, as always.
