Phil Collin's and an orchard walk

Another week done, to start it off I'll post a purple flower that missed last week's post.

Leanne went to Dublin for work this week. She stayed in a party section of town and had a room overlooking this street. She quickly asked for a room in the back of the hotel so she would be able to get some sleep.

She flew back on thursday and I surprised her with her favorite foods. Homemade Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

Coach was excited for her to come home.

25 on the other hand slept---and yes that is her snoring.

Friday night we went to the British Summertime festival in Hyde park. They have big name bands playing every day for a week.  This was the main stage.

We were able to see Phil Collins. He had hurt his back so he sat in a chair the whole concert. In spite of that he put on a great show.

The next day was a short walk for Coach in the park. We walked close to where the concert was a were able to hear the bands that were playing that day. Unfortunately we did not care for any of them.

So we headed back to the house. We saw a row of birds enjoy them selve in the sun.

Sunday we took a train to Kent to go for a walk in the countryside. The train ride has some interesting people riding on it. When was the last time you saw women in curlers.

We both didn't say anything, then looked at each other and had a laugh. The guys behind and in front of us were just finishing up a bachelor party weekend. Some looked like they must have had a lot of fun the night before. It didn't stop them from drinking a few more. A nice way to start off a sunday morning.

From the train station we did a short road walk to an apple orchard.  This is another thing that is not allowed in the US.

Being able to walk where ever you want.

As we left the orchard we entered Jeskyns park. This was farm land that was taken over by the forestry department. Trails are well marked by fence post signs.

Most were well maintained paths and the overall walk was like this.

The did have a water area for the dogs. Lots of barking happy dogs. Coach does not like the water, so he did not play in it.

If you ever wondered what a
Boxer looks like without his tail or ears cut, this is it. They have a law in the UK that you cannot cut the tails or ears on any dog.

Time to head back thru the orchard to the train station. As you can tell it's a well used path.

The trees were thick with apples, It's a wonder they could hold themselves up.

A girl and her dog heading home.
